Home additions

Add the space. Keep the house you have.

We plan and build room additions, second stories, and primary suite expansions for homeowners across the Treasure Valley.

Most addition conversations start the same way: the house works, except for one room. Maybe it's a primary suite, a family room, another bedroom, or a kitchen that needs more space. Whatever it is, the new part has to tie into the old house, in the structure, the rooflines, and how you actually live there.

As your general contractor, we run the addition as one project: existing conditions, design coordination, permits, and construction. An older Boise house and a newer one in Meridian or Eagle come with different problems, and we work those out in preconstruction, before anything gets torn out.

Who this is for

  • You're planning a room addition, a second story, or a bigger primary suite.
  • The project needs drawings, a building permit, and work tied into the existing structure.
  • You want one contractor responsible from planning through the final walkthrough.

How planning works

  1. We start with your house: how it's built, what the addition connects to, and what you need the new space to do.
  2. If the drawings aren't finished, we use preconstruction to line them up with a scope that can actually be built.
  3. You see the addition described in a written proposal before we schedule construction.

Questions

Do I need architectural plans before I call?
No. Plenty of people start with a goal and the house they have. If you need drawings, we coordinate them during preconstruction, so there's no reason to wait to reach out.
Can you add on to an older home?
Yes, that's a big part of what we do. Older homes often need structural and systems work to tie in, and we figure that out before we price the addition.
Will the addition need a building permit?
Yes. An addition in the Treasure Valley needs a building permit from whichever city or county covers your property. We handle permitting as part of the project.
