Primary suites

The bedroom, the bath, and how they're built.

Your primary suite might be a remodel of the rooms you have, an addition that creates the suite, or both. We plan the bedroom, bath, and closet as one scope.

Suite work looks like finishes until you open it up. Then it's plumbing, structure, and waterproofing. Moving a shower, adding a closet, or pushing the bedroom into new space are construction problems first.

We treat the suite as its own project with a permit and a clear sequence, whether it's inside the house you have or it's the reason for an addition.

Who this is for

  • You're rebuilding the primary bath, not just redecorating it.
  • You're adding a suite onto the house, with a new bedroom and bath.
  • You want the wet areas, the storage, and the bedroom planned together.

How planning works

  1. We lock in plumbing locations and the structure around them before tile and fixtures are ordered.
  2. If the suite is an addition, we scope how it connects back to the existing house.
  3. Waterproofing, ventilation, and access during construction are all part of the plan.

Questions

What does a primary suite project include?
It can be a remodel of your current bedroom and bath, an addition that creates the suite, or both. The closet and storage come along when they're part of the same scope.
Do you build additions just for a primary suite?
Yes. A primary suite is one of the most common reasons people add onto a Treasure Valley home.
How are plumbing changes handled?
Moving a bathroom is a building project. We scope the new plumbing along with the structure and finishes, not as a fixture swap.
